Deploying a Manual Patching Process for a Supreme Judicial Body

The Background
The State Courts of Singapore has served the sovereign island for over four decades with the central means to dispute resolution, and the authority to oversee the judicial and statutory framework of civil and criminal instances.
Over 90% of the judicial cases in Singapore are heard in the States Court. The State Courts' system and its responsibility to protect confidential data necessitated finding a trusted partner to ensure their devices were secure and updated. Pragma entered a three-year contract with the State Courts of Singapore to see the task through.
The Process
Pragma entered a three-year contract with the State Courts of Singapore and was entrusted to oversee its vulnerability assessments and seamless patch deployment. The institution relied on a manual process as the devices were stored in a government secured data centre.
Pragma prioritised and conducted vulnerability assessments using Nessus Pro and InsightVM. All Microsoft Window servers, firewalls, switches and routers were manually patched every three months to ensure the latest software versions were enforced and established.
The Result
As a result, for three years Pragma delivered State Courts a flawless and efficient manual patching process deployed to all 150 IP addresses on-premises every quarter.
